WINGS INTERNSHIPS OFFER YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO:Gain hands-on experience in the field of Marketing.Collaborate and mentor with department and organizational leadership.Learn from the experiences of other internship participants through cohort-based activities.Participate in a service activity.Experience a bigger picture perspective of how Wings operates through cross-functional department shadows.Have some fun at a Top 150 employer in Minnesota for 8 years running!SCHEDULE:The Summer Internship program will run for 12 weeks from May 17, 2021 to August 6, 2021. The primary summer working hours are between 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday. An occasional evening or Saturday may be scheduled for internship activities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The intern may learn and may be exposed to the following. Other duties may be assigned.Plan and implement a marketing campaign for a Wings product or serviceCreate or edit webpage on wingsfinancial.com and track subsequent changes in KPIsExperience ownership of at least one of Wings' social media pages for a designated period of time to create and share content, drive engagement on page, troubleshoot member questions and concernsInvolved with member survey processes and technologies, such as ForeSeeAssist team with campaign tracking and present findings for one campaign at marketing team meeting, making recommendations for future campaigns based on findings.Assist in planning and hosting annual member appreciation event at the Minnesota ZooAssist in planning and working annual Wings Financial Foundation golf tournamentAssist with a SOAR financial education class for young adultsAssist with Wings promotional item inventory and managementBe part of a Wings video projectJob shadow front line positions to get a feel for member feedbackReview branch merchandising and make suggestions for changes and/or improvementsDevelop Press Release for product or branch announcement to be distributed across local and industry wires for pickup and publicationPerform competitive audit of other financial institution's marketing material; present findings to Marketing teamQUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Must currently be pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, and have completed their Junior year with a focus in Marketing, Communications or related field.Strong writing, editing and proofreading skillsAdaptability and flexibility for changes in workloadAttention to detailPositive teamwork and interpersonal skillsPHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
