Job Description:

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine support activities in the technical support function.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a technical liaison, is responsible for providing troubleshooting and repair technical support to company field engineers, technicians, and customers.
  • Assesses and responds to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment or software.
  • May report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to engineering.
  • This entry-level position requires knowledge of company product lines and troubleshooting methods.
  • May assist Sales Manager, and dealers in price quotes, technical questions, and product demonstrations.
  • Coordinates with Sales, Material Control, and Q.C. on customer queries.
  • Collects background data (cost, order history, etc.) to assist in large order negotiations.
  • Maintains competitive literature and pricing files for ready reference. Write application notes.
  • Assist with touchscreen product return testing and analysis.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years' of technical support experience
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong written and verbal and troubleshooting skills
  • Seniority level
