Job Description

To identify, prioritize, perform, implement and sustain continuous improvement activities to improve the manufacturing site by ingraining a proactive culture of continuous improvement. A direct focus on Customer Satisfaction needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Systematically implement product process metrics in the manufacturing departments and five improvement activity by identifying data points not meeting quality expectations through the "return to green" concept, taking immediate action to surface root cause(s) and implement process controls to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Lead projects to identify and properly control significant process inputs, including equipment and procedures.
  • Work to find methods to reduce variation, to improve product consistency, and to further center product and process mean.
  • Actively lead an efficient transfer of new product and/or processes into manufacturing and onto commercialization.
  • Aggressively participate in C.I. Room sessions by ensuring projects are aligned to the highest priorities.
  • Completion of assigned actions with a sense of urgency to address customer expectations and internal business needs: safety, C&I, delivery, internal quality, yield (defective work and process waste), efficiency, cost.
  • Proactively lead Certificate of Analysis reviews to identify current and potential problem area(s) and work directly with suppliers to reduce material variation.
  • Seek out and implement best practices globally through routine discussions and active utilization of the C.I. tracking site.
  • Routinely review trailer cards prior to release into manufacturing to identify technical inaccuracy and implement contact with the designer to correct the inaccuracy to prevent reoccurrence.
  • As required, complete unique customer requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist product design by analyzing customer machine data, selecting the significant factors and interactions and creating regression models to reduce subjectivity.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office, Minitab, SAP
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Computer programming experience valued
  • Value Stream focused
  • Approachability

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Engineering or a related field
