Overview
Radom Corporation is a rapidly growing, early-stage company developing and marketing proprietary Microwave-Inductively-Coupled-Atmospheric-Plasma (MICAP) sources for applications in optical atomic emission spectroscopy. Radom’s nitrogen based MICAP-OES is the first analytical instrument featuring both portability and freedom from operating costs and logistics associated with argon. Radom has an immediate job opening for an experienced Application Chemist who will assist the Application Team in developing methods and customer support / training.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development of new methods, software testing, and sample analysis.
Provide customized customer training on the operation and use of the MICAP-OES instrument, including on-site at customer facilities.
Help develop product operating instructions and application notes.
Perform customer demonstrations and applications support for both customers and distributors.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
1+ years of experience as an ICP-OES operator in a commercial, industrial, academic or government analytical chemistry lab
Associate or college degree in chemistry or related discipline
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, procedures, and quality controls associated with industrial testing of water, food, soil, and pharmaceuticals using ICP-OES
Ability to communicate effectively with the customers and maintain high customer satisfaction
Ability to select, procure, and maintain necessary lab tools, instruments, glassware and supplies
Ability to prepare aqueous/organic solutions of samples and ICP standards by dilution.
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced new product development environment.
Experience using general office software tools
Ability to travel within the US and overseas in support of customers
Up to 25% business travel
Desirable
Degree in Analytical Chemistry
Customer support involving trace metal analysis applications.
Experience with Atomic Absorption and ICP-MS techniques
