$31.25 - 35.00 per hour
This is a Hybrid role and consists of a combination of WFH & In Person work

The Staff Accountant position focused on Fixed Assets will work closely with other members of the Accounting and Finance Department and Operations to accurately prepare, analyze, and validate fixed asset data in compliance with GAAP reporting on a set monthly reporting schedule.

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the business processes and accounting functions of the company.
  • Capitalize assets when acquired in line with company capitalization policies.
  • Coordinate with Operations to record transfers, sales, and retirements of fixed assets timely.
  • Calculate and record monthly GAAP depreciation for all fixed assets.
  • Coordinate with Tax Department to update fixed assets within Tax software.
  • Coordinate with Fleet and Insurance Departments to meet reporting requirements.
  • Monitor Construction in Progress costs by projects and coordinate with Operations to capitalize completed projects appropriately.
  • Prepare journal entries, including monthly accruals, site allocations, etc.
  • Resolve any problems and correct errors.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts including fixed asset accounts.
  • Prepare various management accounting reports as needed (including reports by divisions) for monitoring of cash flows, operating trends, etc.
  • Prepare worksheets and other analysis for annual audits.
  • Work with other departments on accounting related projects and issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business with emphasis in Accounting.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • GAAP knowledge preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical agility.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to work and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, results driven, prefers to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and tasks.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to computer screens.
  • Required hybrid in-office work schedule.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
