POSITION DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATION
 
POSITION TITLE:   Line Service Technicians                           DATE:  May 2024

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Line Service Technician reports to the Facilities Manager is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient daily functioning of the line services operations in compliance with appropriate rules, regulations, and policies affecting the Airport and the FBO operations; operates in compliance with company safety practices and performs other duties as assigned. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  1. Ensures and maintains high levels of safety and customer service.
  2. Responsible for aircraft refueling under fueling operations of FAA requirements, aircraft marshaling, aircraft tug operating and passenger/flight crew service support.
  3. Performs preventative maintenance daily checks, cleanliness and storage of all aircraft and FBO Ground Support Equipment.
  4. Performs daily fuel quality testing and records results
  5. Responsible for all snow removal on the grounds as well as applying precautionary salt/sand as well some mowing and upkeep of the grounds as needed.
  6. Assist in parts delivery when needed.
  7. Performs light janitorial services when needed.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully an individual should have the ability to interact with and enter data into spreadsheet software.

Other Skills and Abilities:  Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team environment and self-direct work.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is frequently required to sit; walk, talk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop or crouch.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions such as extreme cold and heat, work near moving mechanical parts and vibration and work in high, precarious places.  Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and work with explosives.  The noise level in the work environment falls within acceptable limits of OSHA guidelines.
