As a Senior Financial Analyst within the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team at McKesson Corporation, you will play a vital role in supporting the consolidation of key financial and strategic information, including the budget, long-range plan, and rolling forecast processes. Serving as a key liaison between Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, SEC reporting teams, and business unit finance leaders, your primary responsibilities will be to support the enterprise level execution of quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements, executive level presentations, business unit performance tracking, and ad hoc financial analysis. In addition to these core tasks, you will collaborate closely with various finance leaders across the enterprise to collect and consolidate insightful analysis and data-driven strategic recommendations on behalf of the Corporate Finance department.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Support the consolidation of monthly business unit forecasts, the coordination of the quarterly business unit operating reviews, and the preparation of the annual budget and long-range plan presentations.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations to contribute to the preparation of all materials for the quarterly earnings call. This entails reviewing press releases, preparing earnings decks, and conducting comprehensive supporting analysis.
  • Assist in managing financial implications and facilitating compliance with external reporting requirements for acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of our financial reporting capabilities by spearheading process improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage data driven analysis to enhance alignment, efficiency, and accuracy across all business units.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree and/or Finance/Accounting designation preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a Corporate FP&A function.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and deliver financial information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Possesses a highly analytical and naturally curious mindset, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to challenging the status quo.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial reporting systems and tools, such as FCCS, HFM, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements, GAAP principles, and the financial close cycle is beneficial.
  • Experience with financial modeling is a plus.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$78,300 - $130,500
