This Position will overlay the West districts and focus primarily on business development for new and existing customers in these regions. In addition to new customer acquisition, this position will drive untapped new business in our mid-tier accounts and is instrumental for the AFO to continue 10%+ sales growth.
The Service and Support Division is crafted to increase productivity and efficiency for our customers and is experiencing rapid growth. You will be a catalyst to Agilent Life Sciences and Applied Markets Group (LSAG) service sales team. In this critical sales role, you will apply your sales expertise and technical knowledge of the Pharmaceutical, Chemical Analysis, and other industries to sell high-value services and support solutions to these industries. You will partner with local account managers and customer service resources to develop new business, as well as both standard and customized offerings for underdeveloped mid-sized Agilent clients across the two regions.
As an integral North America Support Sales team member, you will use your excellent sales track record to develop and implement a successful new business sales strategy that improves sales volume, establishes relationships at multiple levels with customers across the region, and gains market share against the competition.
Responsibilities include:
Opportunity management, including the creation of a growth plan, development of locally driven knowledge, and partnering with local teams and resources
Identifying new business opportunities within the Agilent and driven account base
Strategic Selling Focus, lead deal planning and drive account penetration for all support solutions in the account, competitively drive Agilent's presence and influence sales
Creative approach in working with customers to develop laboratory solutions and services for new customers and partners
Executive calling skills, network with executives within accounts to develop and facilitate business growth opportunities
Collaborate closely with other field sales, service delivery and other business organizations to develop and implement account plans for strategic accounts within region
Requires:
Bachelors, Masters, or other or equivalent in science and/or business field highly preferred; may consider applicants with an equivalent combination of education, training, and validated experience
8+ years of direct sales experience with a consistent track record of success in solutions sales major accounts
Ability to translate the value proposition of service as a financial and operational benefit to meet customer needs
Strong business development, sales negotiating, and sales closing skills
Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) and partnership skills
Excellent presentation, planning, and interpersonal skills
High-level knowledge of instrument support services business
Confirmed successful project management experience
Leadership and extraordinary teammate within a cross-functional global matrix environment
Strong understanding of analytical instrumentation preferred
Able to interface comfortably at high levels within the customer management structure
Must be available for up to 50% business travel
Based in the Western regions of the US
The US pay range for this full-time position is $191,625.00 - $376,863.00/yr, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
