Your Role

JOB SUMMARY:

The Plating Operator will be responsible for the effective quality manufacturing of Self piercing rivets. The operator will load materials, apply chemistry to the plating barrel, and follow the designated recipe. The operator will clean and maintain a proper 5-S area. This is a 2nd shift position, 2pm-1030pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Work in a safe manner. At no time shall safe work practices be compromised
  • Test chemistry and process to ensure adherence to the Henrob Specification.
  • Work with different chemicals mixtures used in our coating process.
  • Understand the difference in rivets and plating specifications.
  • Understanding and efficient use of production scheduling techniques
  • Use a pressure washer to perform routine cleaning
  • Read litmus paper and process stages which are communicated in color
  • Use drum handling equipment to maneuver full drums of chemicals or waste products.
  • May be assigned to wear a respirator.
  • Must be trained to operate Hi-Lo for staging, chemical transportation, and loading/unloading jobs into the line
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding that Safety and Quality come first.
  • Ability to understand and operate controller. (Controller on the power panel)
  • Ability to understand and measure parts. (Thickness gauging and coating weights)
  • Computer skills to include (Microsoft office suite and local touch screen systems)
  • Safe working practices

  • Team player

EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or Equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally
  • May be required to bend or work above shoulders for cleaning periodically
  • Climb and descend stairs and ladders periodically
  • Standing for duration of shift
