$3,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

This position is at the Providence Cancer Institute St. Vincent location. Up to 25% remote work allowed once established within the role.

The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist works closely with the departmental and interdisciplinary health care team to provide outpatient care that is integrated and compatible with patient-centered medical goals and objectives. The RDN Utilizes the Nutrition Care Process and Terminology (NCPT) to assess nutrition status, identify nutrition diagnoses, performs nutrition-focused physical examination, interprets results and makes nutrition diagnoses, orders nutrition and diet orders, designs and implements nutrition care plans and evaluates outcomes of nutrition care plans for patients who are at nutrition risk or malnourished. Provides medical nutrition therapy and professional nutrition counseling methods to patients, families and the community.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition or related area granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university, or foreign equivalent.
  • Coursework/Training - Dietetics coursework and supervised practice through a Didactic Program in Dietetics and Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Program in Dietetics accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Oregon Dietitian License within 6 months of hire.
  • National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire.
  • 2 years - Oncology or Nutrition Support experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree - Dietetics-related field; or degree expected to be conferred within 3 months.
  • Certification in oncology (CSO) OR Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) within 6 months of hire.
