The Role
QuidelOrtho Corporation is seeking an electro-mechanical bioengineer with an emphasis on the bioanalytical experimentation and point of care system testing. This engineer will be part of an interdisciplinary team developing microfluidics-driven next generation immunodiagnostics platform for the point-of-care disease analysis. This individual will be versed in the experimental automation techniques and will execute bio-microfluidics research and development experiments to test and maintain a point of care system having electro-mechanical, optical, fluidics, cartridge, imaging, and immunoassay components. Day-to-day activities for this role will be to maintain the instruments, and work within a highly cross-functional team to iteratively test the new designs for immunoassays, cartridges, instrument modules, and image analysis tools in a microfluidics format. Individuals with strong experience and interests in bioanalytically testing the electro-mechanical instruments, microfluidics and optical systems, microfluidics cartridges, and immunodiagnostics are strongly encouraged to apply.

Salary Transparency
The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $57,000 to $98,000. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
