Ameris Bank is searching for an enthusiastic event manager with a "can-do" attitude to manage our brand sponsorships and plan and execute events for the company. This role will be responsible for enhancing Ameris Bank's brand awareness in local markets, improving client loyalty, and enhancing business development efforts through events and sponsorships. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

* With the Director of Advertising and Promotions, drive the event and sponsorship strategy for Ameris Bank.

* Plan and organize corporate events from start to finish with great attention to detail. This includes but is not limited to: scheduling, planning, invitations, vendor management, contract negotiation, and hosting of the event. Many events will require in-person attendance.

* Maintain an event and sponsorship calendar; be the expert on dates, times, and details for all sponsorships and corporate events.

* Manage, plan, attend and optimize Ameris Bank's existing large corporate sponsorships: Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, Peachtree Road Race, ALTA, and the Ameris Bank Jacksonville Marathon; own the sponsorship relationships.

* Manage and plan smaller events as needed, such as select golf tournaments, large sponsored business events, and Ameris Bank leadership events

* Negotiate select sponsorships, with the Director of Advertising and Promotions.

* Manage media placements, social media, and lead team when creating marketing materials related to sponsorships and events; optimize effectiveness of media placements and lead generation opportunities.

* Act as a consultant on event and sponsorship opportunities to corporate and local market leaders; fully understand the objectives/goals of each sponsor activation to translate into goals for the event. Assist with execution of select events and sponsorships.

* Manage business development-related assets, such as event tickets and venue boxes; assist with business development event planning as needed.

* Solicit, train, and manage Ameris Bank teammate volunteers for events. Enhance strategy for internal promotion and teammate attendance at events.

* Manage sponsorship and event marketing requests in Jira.

* With Creative team, create and manage event signage, and coordinate materials for all events.

* Develop benchmarks, timelines, and mechanisms to measure event and sponsorship success; report out monthly.

* Assist Director of Advertising and Promotions with other duties, such as project management, invoicing and budgeting, team meeting planning, catering for team events, promotional item ordering, and other duties as assigned.

* Establish and ensure compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements.

* Have a strong sense of ownership to ensure that Ameris Bank events and sponsorships are executed at the highest level.

* Lead events on nights and weekends, especially during the spring, summer and fall at the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

* Excellent people skills, and an ability to interact effectively and in a professional, diplomatic, and mature manner with company leadership and internal and external clients at all levels.

* Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.

* Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

* Proven ability to learn quickly, problem solve, prioritize workflow, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

* Ability to work autonomously and to function both independently and as a team member.

* High attention to detail.

* Microsoft Office suite proficiency.

* Adobe InDesign experience preferred.

Industry and Work Experience:

* Minimum 3-5 years of relevant marketing, event and project management experience required.

Academic:

* Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required or minimum of 5 years direct marketing or events experience required.
