Responsibilities:

Del Monte Foods is seeking applications for seasonal employment at their Rochelle, Illinois facility. We are looking for qualified candidates for a variety of different seasonal positions and departments.

Positions Available:

• Lift Truck Operator - Drives pallets to/from labels lines, wrapper machine, and stores product in the correct rows in the warehouse. They restock divider sheets and wooden pallets to the gallon machines.
• Label Line Machine Operator - Checks and loads label bundles into the machine. Ensures the labels used are appropriate for the product running and refills glue barrel.
• Depalletize Machine - Collect dented cans for sundry per protocol and throw away all others. Remove all swells, buckles, rust, and dented cans from pallet and dispose of correctly.
• Casing Machine - Replenish by keeping casing machine's carton in feed conveyor fille with cartons. Operators must ensure that the cartons are correctly faced in the machine.

Additional Skills:

• Keep open communication with stock controller and supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift/carry up to and including 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand most of the shift.
• Must be able to climb stairs, stand, stoop, walk, occasionally to frequently.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment- Safety steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest.
• Must have the ability to carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
