Here's how aGovernment Contracts Compliance Officerfor our US Head Officeoffice contributes to our team:

Responsibilities
  • Developing and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures related to doing business with the federal government, as well as state and local governments in the U.S.
  • Recommending and implementing policies, procedures and programs to ensure that all business units follow applicable regulatory requirements;
  • Monitoring changes in laws and regulations that might affect the organization's policies and implementing changes when necessary;
  • Developing and implementing appropriate training and education programs;
  • Overseeing audits and developing internal controls to ensure compliance;
  • Facilitating cooperation with any inquiries, external audits or investigations;
  • Communicating with executives and corporate committees concerning compliance and audit results; and
  • Providing day-to-day advice to business units on compliance topics and legal issues related to doing business with U.S. government agencies;
  • Implementing systems to improve the process for reviewing, negotiating, and administering government solicitations / contracts;
  • Proactively evaluating the operations and legal compliance of government contracts on an ongoing basis and recommending and implementing compliance, legal, and strategic solutions to improve PCL's long-term profitability.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the government contracts space whether in a law firm or within an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of government contracts and/or compliance, including experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Cost Accounting Standards, Cost Principles, and other federal and state laws related to the formation and performance of government contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as member of a team and trusted client advisor.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with executives, district office management and other internal clients.
  • Strong preference for a Law Degree from an accredited U.S. law school and a license to practice in one or more U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Preference given to candidates with significant construction industry experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Salary for this position is $115,000 to $165,000 depending on experience
