Job Description

The Associate Director of Recruiting Operations and Newcomer Transition plays a crucial role within the University of Missouri Football Program by overseeing all aspects of recruiting operations and facilitating a seamless transition for incoming student-athletes. This position requires a dynamic individual with exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, and a passion for supporting student-athletes in their academic and athletic endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruiting strategies in collaboration with the coaching staff to attract top-tier student-athletes to the program.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the recruiting process, including prospect identification, evaluation, campus visits, and official recruiting events.
  • Utilize recruiting databases and technology platforms to track prospects, maintain communication logs, and analyze recruiting data for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA regulations regarding recruiting activities, eligibility, and amateurism.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming student-athletes and their families, providing guidance and support throughout the transition process.
  • Develop and implement orientation programs to acclimate newcomers to academic, athletic, and social aspects of university life.
    Collaborate with academic advisors, coaching staff, and support personnel to address the individual needs of incoming student-athletes and facilitate a smooth transition to campus life.
  • Monitor academic progress and provide academic support resources to ensure student-athletes meet NCAA eligibility requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with prospective student-athletes, their families, and high school coaches to build strong relationships and facilitate transparency throughout the recruiting process.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with university stakeholders, including admissions offices, housing services, and academic support centers, to streamline newcomer transition processes.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the overall operations of the football program.
Shift

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in recruitment of a NCAA football program with strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000

Grade: GGS-9E
