As a Writer within Capital Group, you will be a member of the broader Marketing team and will produce creative, customized content for the Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) pod. You will collaborate with sales, product and marketing to promote the business line and thought leadership to key audiences. You will develop content to help our advisors and/or consultants/intermediaries drive the business. You are ready to use your knowledge of investing to write content ranging from white papers and web articles to presentations and sales brochures. You can manage projects from end-to-end: understanding the audience, developing the story, and working with stakeholders to meet their needs.

I am the right person Capital Group is looking for:
  • You have a bachelor's degree, with an emphasis on marketing, economics, finance, journalism or a related field.
  • You have strong foundational knowledge of the investment industry and knowledge of the ESG space as it relates to the financial market and investments
  • You have a portfolio of financial-services editorial content that exemplifies superb writing skills and the ability to distill and synthesize complex ideas into clear prose.
  • You have demonstrated an interest in being part of a marketing and sales organization, you are eager to learn about our products, marketing strategy and the needs of our audiences, and will use that information to develop and shape your content.
  • You thrive in team settings. You have worked previously with stakeholders to develop content on products and/or trends in the financial services industry.
  • You are digitally savvy. You have good understanding of digital tools and channels, such as social media, search and content marketing.


Southern California Base Salary Range: $131,596-$210,554

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
