Job Description

We're seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Nashville, TN! Join Staffmark and play a crucial role in supporting attorneys as they navigate the intricacies of intellectual property law. Don't miss out on this fantastic direct-hire opportunity!

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

As a Litigation Paralegal, you'll assist attorneys in various legal tasks, including research, document production, and overall legal support for the litigation practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Index, organize, and analyze legal documents.
  • Prepare and file court documents.
  • Draft pleadings, contracts, certificates, etc., under attorney supervision.
  • Issue subpoenas and coordinate document production.
  • Assist with witness preparation and attend depositions as needed.
  • Support trial preparation and assist attorneys during trials.
  • Prepare deposition summaries.
  • Utilize Westlaw and Lexis systems for information retrieval.
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, experts, and attorneys via telephone, in-person, and in writing.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal secretary with significant decision-making responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • College degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
