Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of tasks to assist in production activities, which may include some or all of the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives, stores, and issues tooling used in various manufacturing processes.
  • Provides support for all production areas by staging needed materials as listed on job routings and work instructions. Communicates effectively with supervisor and production staff to ensure timely staging and tool delivery.
  • Maintains accurate inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing tools in stock. Records location and attributes of tools and inventory using ERP system. Locates lost or misplaced tools.
  • Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually and by using basic inspection tools. Reports damage or wear to supervisor.
  • Operates hand trucks, inventory storage equipment, and other lifting devices with a focus on safety. Identifies safety concerns proactively so that can be corrected.
  • Performs cycle count activities as specified by departmental procedure and assists in preparing and taking of physical inventories.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Proceeds under direct supervision.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and conformity with Ace Precision Quality System work instruction requirements.
  • Maintains or exceeds production standards through efficient organization and planning.
  • Follows and complies with safety policies and procedures.
  • Accurately completes all required documentation.
  • Meets attendance policy requirements.
  • Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Accurate computer data entry skills are required. Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel are preferred. Experience driving a forklift is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read English and understand sketches, routings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with employees and other Company stakeholders.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals and fractions.

REASONING ABILITY:
Requires the use of some judgment to comply with instructions, follow prescribed methods, and make minor decisions as to setups, operations, and processes.
