Job Summary

Job Description

Responsible for designing and developing products from unique customer specifications. Working with sales and manufacturing personnel, the Design Engineer is responsible for the integration of materials and components from a customer order into a production order, coordinating these activities with the production team.

Responsibilities & Duties
* Designs and develops products and their corresponding manufacturing processes, generates drawings as well as 2D and 3D models, creates material lists and bills of material, and assists in competitive benchmarking, product development, design and testing.
* Examines and checks drawings and documentation for accuracy and completeness, provides project management support for assigned projects and provides input into how to improve the company's products and services.
* Provides system and technical support for a variety of processes.
* Develops prototype parts for R&D, testing and sampling.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* 2-4 years of relevant experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
* Experience in manufacturing and manufacturing processes including fabrication, assembly.
* AUTOCAD and engineered drawing capability; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, business computing and data reporting.
* Ability to collaborate across various company functions including sales, purchasing, production with a flexible mindset - ability to refocus and shift attention in a very fluid environment.
* Analytical; strong math - ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and suggest actions to resolve issues.

Languages: Must be fluent in English. Chinese or Japaneseexperience is a plus.
