Mid Regulatory Economist

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

Cherokee United Services (CUS) is seeking a Mid-Level Regulatory Economist to join our dynamic team in Washington DC. In this role, you will play a key role in conducting economic and regulatory analyses, supporting project management activities, and contributing to business development efforts. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects that impact policy decisions at the federal level.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Mid Regulatory Economist: Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided.
  • Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Mid Regulatory Economist Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with leading economic and regulatory analyses on projects related to labor, worker safety, immigration, health, transportation, and other policy areas.
  • Help manage day-to-day project activities, including overseeing research, data analysis, and report preparation.
  • Assist with providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, ensuring high-quality work products, and fostering professional development.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal writing, client meetings, and identifying new opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions to clients' needs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Mid Regulatory Economist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, or a related discipline.
  • Three (3) to seven (7) years of experience in economic analysis or regulatory policy within a federal agency or organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting economic analyses in domestic US policy areas.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have and maintain an active SECRET Clearance.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
