SCS Engineers is growing and looking for someone to jumpstart a new office for SCS Engineers in Anchorage, AK. We are a nationwide firm of 1,200+ growth-oriented Seller-Doers seeking a full-time Senior Environmental Professional ready to take on a leadership role helping us grow our business in the Solid Waste industry. You will serve in project, business development, and administrative roles to:

• Direct and oversee project work in accordance with SCS's quality control standards.
• Provide technical participation/guidance on projects.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Develop and execute business development activities to meet company revenue and growth goals.
• Identify practice areas for SCS to enter.
• Lead by example and supervise/mentor/hire project personnel.

How you can make an impact

The senior environmental professional wears two hats. As a Seller you will contribute to our growth goal by:

• Maintaining existing and building new client relationships.
• Playing a leading role in new project acquisition.
• Drafting and reviewing proposals.
• Helping us grow the number and value of projects we do for existing clients.

As a Doer you will lead a team of project professionals to make a difference in our client's lives by helping them overcome a wide variety of environmental challenges:

• Landfill and landfill gas feasibility, design and compliance.
• Landfill Engineering.
• Construction management and monitoring.
• Air Permitting.
• Environmental Compliance.
• Wastewater Treatment and Permitting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering; geology; hydrogeology; environmental science or related discipline required.
• 10+ years of relevant consultancy experience required (Selected individual must have specific working knowledge of and demonstrated consulting experience, specific to the solid waste industry. The candidate should have experience dealing with regulatory agencies, and working knowledge of state and federal environmental permit processes and regulations.)
• Existing client relationships in the Anchorage area.
• Registered P.E. or P.G. preferred.
• Strong leadership skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.

Pay range for this position is $90k to $150k depending on experience. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
