Food Careers

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Cut grass and weeds around barn, Bldg. A, Bldg. B, White House, sides of road, and other areas as needed.

* Keep tractor, lawn mowers, and other outside equipment serviced.

* Bushhog pastures on Ben E. Keith Property

* Remove burned sawdust from Bldg A as necessary.

* Remove old pallets from Bldg. A as needed.

* Move chemicals received at dry warehouse to the chemical room.

* Maintain area around lagoons.

* Inspect and repair barn and fences as needed.

* Remove trash, debris, etc. from all areas surrounding Ben E. Keith property to include right away.

* Maintain storm water drains free of grass and debris to ensure storm water will flow freely into the drains.

* Collect a storm water sample every six months in accordance with Stormwater Permit and submit to the lab or a mutual designated point.

* Inspect fuel holding tanks twice a week in accordance SPCC plan and submit proper paperwork to Maintenance Supervisor.

* Performs skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.

* Assist with repairing pumps, fans, valves, pneumatic, electric and fuel injected motors.

* Assist with the inspection of refrigeration equipment to include making minor adjustments as needed and scheduling major repairs.

* Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, air, and sewer systems; including opening clogged drains and pipes.

* Assist with repairing lift trucks and pallet jacks

* Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools carefully.

* Organizes and maintains tool room and spare parts storage rooms.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Ability to multitask in a fast-pace work environment

* Basic mechanical and plumbing experience preferred

* Must have experience operating grounds equipment such as tractor and lawnmower

* Excellent Communication Skills

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75lbs

* Ability to work in outside weather conditions
