About The Role & Team

As the Manager, Pricing and Monetization Strategy, you will have the empowering opportunity to shape your own journey by crafting and executing comprehensive pricing strategies for our diverse suite of products, including Analytics, Experiments, Session Replay, Warehouse Native, and more. Working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders, such as company leadership, product management, finance, sales, and marketing, you will play a pivotal role in propelling Amplitude's market expansion, optimizing customer value, and fostering revenue growth. This is an individual contributor role, and reports to the Head of Pricing Strategy.

As a Manager, Pricing and Monetization Strategy, you will:

  • Partner with executive leadership to delineate the overarching pricing strategy and framework for our product portfolio.
  • Forge pricing and packaging strategies that resonate with customer needs, align with product positioning, and maximize revenue potential.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, discern customer needs, and pinpoint pricing opportunities.
  • Independently analyze pricing data, customer behavior, and market dynamics to construct pricing models.
  • Conceptualize and conduct pricing experiments to validate pricing hypotheses and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Foster close collaboration with product management teams to grasp product value propositions, pricing sensitivities, and competitive differentiation.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to devise pricing guidelines, facilitate sales enablement, and orchestrate go-to-market strategies.

You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or strategy/finance roles.
  • Previous experience in product pricing, business model strategy, or sales strategy, ideally within the SaaS industry.
  • Exceptional strategic problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient financial modeling skills, coupled with strong written and oral communication capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in crafting presentations tailored for executive audiences.
  • High adaptability and flexibility, alongside adept project management skills.
  • A strategic mindset coupled with robust business acumen and a results-driven approach.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, statistics, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $155,000 - $233,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)
