Who we are looking for:

Are you a proactive and highly structured Program Manager with a passion for digital solutions? Do you have a track record managing finances and resources on large accounts? We are looking for a person with experience in program management and the hunger to help manage and oversee the overall fulfillment across projects for our growing list of clients.

A note about workstyle: VML MAP would like candidates for this position to be comfortable going into our Austin, TX office 5 days a week at a regular cadence to help build upon our culture with the client. We will still maintain levels of flexibility within specific hours and days in-office. Candidates interested must be local to Austin or willing to relocate (with paid relocation included and available for out-of-town applicants living in the US).

What will your day look like?

In the role of Program Manager, you will support the Program Director with organizing and managing one of our largest international clients and a WT MAP team of 15+ project managers across 3+ workstreams and 6+ locations. You will play a central role in making sure we run the client and the team in an efficient way - from running recurring status meetings with the client, and internally, leading process optimizations to ensure financial reporting is well prepared.

More specifically, you will:

  • Forecast, plan, and monitor resources and budgets.
  • Manage stakeholder communication with department leads and ensure accurate resource forecasting based on the workstream roadmap projects, both short and long term.
  • Ensure collaboration and strong communication among team members by making sure that all team members stay up to date on the latest changes, are trained in processes and tools, as well VML MAP frameworks and ways of working.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to make sure recruitment needs are up to date. Moreover, ensure a consistent onboarding plan for new people starting in the team.
  • Being a daily sparring partner to the team

You will be working closely with the Program Director, as well as a team of Project Managers, Producers, Copywriters, Designers, Business Architects, Developers and Finance Controllers. Across locations in Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Detroit Toronto, and Austin, you will join competent teammates who go the extra mile to help one another. We are a flat organization that sees the values in promoting and growing the talents of our people. Many of our colleagues have been at the agency for a decade or longer.

What do you bring to the table?

You are an excellent facilitator with the ability to articulate complex concepts and information to the team as well as various internal and external stakeholders. As you will help oversee fulfillment for one of our biggest Client Service teams, we expect that you are very organized and can keep the overall perspective while showing great attention to details. You are proactive and solution-oriented; thus, you are not afraid to take ownership, and always work to deliver the best possible outcomes, despite challenges that may arise. Moreover, you are easy-going and have a positive mindset and eagerness to learn new cultures and help build a team that succeeds.

In addition, you have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience being a digitally focused program manager or similar
  • Knowledge of the parts involved when working with data, technical projects, and marketing automation platforms
  • The competence, confidence and self-discipline to manage deadlines, estimates and budgets
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to thrive in a flat, past-faced, and dynamic organization
