Position Summary
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Centers Digital Strategy team, a collaboration between the Marketing amp; Strategic Communications and Information Technology departments, is responsible for the OSU Wexner Medical Centers (OSUWMC) web/mobile properties, which include the main OSUWMC public site, the Intranet (OneSource), the College of Medicines site, and dozens of other departments or centers web, mobile, email and social presences.
The Digital Marketing Consultant is an SEO/SEM expert that will manage all search engine optimization and marketing activities.
The Digital Marketing Consultant will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks. The Consultant will also manage SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing to maximize ROI. This role is instrumental in helping drive the business forward by turning data into insights to increase acquisition, awareness, engagement across all digital channels for all key audiences including but not limited to current and future patients, referring physicians, research collaborators and donors.
The Digital Marketing Consultant proactively identifies current and future digital marketing search needs, leading the organization toward a more effective use of resources to acquire, convert and engage constituents.
The Digital Marketing Consultant oversees digital marketing projects working with the marketing, UX, social, content, development, and data analytics teams to successfully implement, measure and optimize. Tactics include but are not limited to SEO, SEM, and reputation management. This position Execute tests, collect, and analyze website and SERPs data, identify trends and insights to achieve maximum ROI in search campaigns.
The Digital Marketing Consultant will work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation. Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords. Implement local SEO and reputation management best practices. Generate performance reports that showcases actionable insights.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant digital experience with a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies and tactics, digital analytics tools, and digital data collection methodologies.
