At Availity, we're not just another Healthcare Technology company; we're pioneers reshaping the future of healthcare! With our headquarters in vibrant Jacksonville, FL, and an exciting office in Bangalore, India, along with an exceptional remote workforce across the United States, we're a global team united by a powerful mission.

We're on a mission to bring the focus back to what truly matters - patient care. As the leading healthcare engagement platform, we're the heartbeat of an industry that impacts millions. With over 2 million providers connected to health plans, and processing over 13 billion transactions annually, our influence is continually expanding.

Join our energetic, dynamic, and forward-thinking team where your ideas are celebrated, innovation is encouraged, and every contribution counts. We're transforming the healthcare landscape, solving communication challenges, and creating connections that empower the nation's premier healthcare ecosystem.

The Business Development Representative will initiate exploratory conversations with prospects (via phone, email, social media, and other methods), to determine if prospects might be an ideal customer by:

  • Using a variety of prospecting strategies to conduct outreach to prospects

  • Identifying and documenting prospects' needs and challenges

  • Determining prospects' interest in Availity's products & solutions

  • Scheduling discovery meetings & appointments for sales representatives with prospects

  • Achieving targeted volumes of outreach activities & qualified leads each month

The Business Development Representative will collaborate closely with both Sales and the Demand Generation program managers - aligning on target accounts, marketing programs, messaging, and outreach strategies.

To be effective in the role, the Business Development Representative will need to learn Availity's buyer personas and solution offerings inside and out so they can communicate their purpose and value to prospective clients - and also personalize messaging based on attributes of the specific prospects they are targeting. Asking thoughtful probing questions and listening are two important keys to success in uncovering pains and opportunities that Availity can solve for. The Business Development Representative must also be adept at researching and networking to gather insights and engage informed decision-makers and stakeholders within each targeted organization.

If the prospect is a good fit, the Business Development Representative will schedule a discovery call or appointment for a member of the sales team with the prospect. Based on their follow up call with the prospect, the seller will determine whether the opportunity will convert to pipeline. For those that do, it's then up to the seller to deepen the relationship with the prospect and work them to close.

The Business Development Representative will be goal oriented and measured based on the quantity and quality of opportunities they are able to identify each month. They must also exhibit strong attention to detail in preparing and entering opportunities and sales activities in the CRM system and other core operational applications.

No sponsorship in any form is available for this role.
