Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solutions Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Jacksonville, FL and Richmond, VA. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for defining an architectural vision and architecture for the metadata strategy and the integration of metadata with data modeling and the metadata repository, which aligns with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology and platform choices
  • Describe the solution intent and the associated operating environment, determining the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces, defining non-functional requirements and architectural runway to support new epics/features and expand into new opportunities
  • Ensure the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions
  • Contribute to best practices, standard templates, and the architecture roadmap for defined domains
  • Contribute in the creation of the architecture roadmap of defined domains (Business, Application, Data and Technology) in support of the product roadmap
  • Contribute to the development of best practices including standardized templates
  • Work across business and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision for large complex solutions and evolves it based on an emerging backlog
  • Lead rapid shaping of a high level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements; ensures architecture is flexible and modular and designed to adapt easily
  • Facilitate solution driven discussions, leads the design of complex architectures, and finds creative solutions through practical experiments and POCs
  • Work with Product Manager/Owner to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway to enable business epics/features and expand into new opportunities
  • Clarify the architecture for the development teams to support implementation, and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impediments
  • Perform design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met (e.g. security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability)
  • Support the Principal Engineer as needed to select the technology stack needed for solutions, and helps select preferred technology products
  • Educate team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies and best practices to create innovative solutions
  • Maintenance of metadata repository
  • Coordination of automating the metadata repository upload
  • Integrating metadata with the data model for upload to the repository
  • Metadata data quality reports and resolutions
  • Validation between data environment and metadata contents
  • GT Data Strategy - metadata and model management

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or information systems
  • 5+ year in data analysis, evaluation, and modeling
  • Experience in managing a metadata repository/data catalog
  • Data Analysis/Profiling
  • Basic SQL / querying skills
  • Ability to partner with cross functional teams
  • Ability to develop awareness of the business function to drive out detailed requirements and develop effective partnerships
  • Experience in managing a metadata repository/data catalog
  • Ability to partner with other functional areas
  • Ability to develop awareness of business function for which application is being designed in order to drive out detailed requirements and form effective partnerships
  • Strong analytical ability, independent problem solving, and good communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and deliver in a fast paced agile environment
  • Expert knowledge and experience in software development methodologies and industry practices
  • Expert understanding and experience with building and deploying enterprise applications
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written, verbal and diagramming skills
  • Expertise in using PowerPoint and clearly articulating findings/presenting solutions
  • Agile/Scrum
  • Data analysis/Profiling
  • Experience w/ Collibra - data catalog, workflow management
  • Hadoop Querying
  • Experience working with an enterprise data strategy

Desired skills:
  • Master's degree in data analytics/data science
  • Experience w/ Collibra - data catalog, workflow management
  • Erwin Data Modeler / Data Modeling
  • Experience working with data integration techniques (i.e. API, etc.)

Pay Range: $60.24 - $68.24
