Job Description
POSITION SUMMARYThe Director of Financial Planning & Analysis leads the AutoForce Financial Planning, Analysis and Data Analytics teams of U.S. AutoForce. This individual is responsible for delivering consolidated financial analysis and performance metrics to senior management and key stakeholders. The Director of FP&A interacts with the business using reports and dashboards reflecting a varied array of financial and operational metrics and makes recommendations to improve business performance. This role will also lead budget and forecast processes for the AutoForce division and incorporates strategic goals into baseline expectations. This individual will participate and help provide financial guidance and leadership on divisional strategic initiatives. The Director of FP&A leads the finance data team that develops dashboards, reports and KPI's and measures performance against business plans and budgets, interprets data and makes recommendations for operational improvements and increasing division profitability.

This role will be located at our Corporate Office in Appleton, WI.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop the AutoForce FP&A strategy, aligning it with division and corporate goals and objectives.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for the division, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and achievable financial targets.
  • Leads support costs budgeting along alignment and analysis of allocations of corporate resources.
  • Owns scenario modeling as needed for corporate or other business needs.
  • Leads forecast consolidation and reporting for the division.
  • Leads support department non-headcount forecast along with balance sheet and cash flow components.
  • Provides all commentary and reporting for performance vs. forecast at the corporate level.
  • Prepares financial metrics and presentation materials for the AutoForce strategic plan.
  • Develop and lead a sustainable, scalable, predictive forecasting process for the division.
  • Drives system enhancements in Anaplan or other forecasting tools.
  • Provide business analysis, insight, and financial guidance on divisional strategic initiatives and capital decisions.
  • Collaborate with divisional senior leaders to develop and improve key performance metrics that lead to better decision making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to enable informed decision-making across the organization.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive suite of reports and dashboards using the latest visualization and analytical tools with the mindset of continual automation and improvement for AutoForce Senior leadership. Evaluates and seeks out new technology and tools to provide best in class analysis and reporting.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive Finance reports, dashboards and KPI's which enable the finance team to perform job duties as well as analyze, track and measure key finance metrics and KPI's
  • Leads cash forecasting process for the division.
  • Performs ad hoc financial analyses as needed, including ROI's and financial models and works collaboratively with other AutoForce finance functions to achieve finance goals and objectives, at times providing or utilizing cross functional resources.
  • Create a high-performance culture that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Find A Better Way by championing continuous improvement and quality control efforts to identify opportunities to innovate and improve efficiency, accuracy, and standardization.
  • Support corporate efforts for safety, government compliance, and all other company policies & procedures.
  • Lead other special projects or strategic initiatives as required or assigned.

Finance Data Analytics

  • Leads Data team supporting the finance and sales functions to develop and refine dashboards, and reporting helping to guide business insights and decision making.
  • Collaborate with business functions to identify critical data elements, define quality standards, and act as a liaison to ensure business priorities are met.
  • Collaborates and leads partnership with AutoForce Data, Corporate Finance Data and Corporate DN&A teams.
  • Provides input on project prioritization for those teams, may provide resources to support projects and evaluates ROI for data projects; owns monthly alignment and communication meetings
  • Provide support and expertise in data tools to improve financial processes through automating and streamlining data usage and visualization.
  • Coordinate with data owners and subject matter experts to ensure compliance with data governance policies and practices.
  • Lead in data-related projects for AutoForce finance such as acquisition data migrations, integrations, and quality improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 4-year finance, accounting, or business degree required
  • Minimum 10 years of broad accounting, FP&A, and managerial experience
  • A highly metrics-driven individual with strong analytical abilities.
  • A working manager, capable of operating in a fast-paced environment, able to handle pressure well, and self-motivated.
  • Player-coach who can manage as well as dig into the details to drive results and exhibits high emotional intelligence.
  • Strategic decision maker with strong problem-solving skills (critical thinking, creativity, innovation) who is naturally curious.
  • Proven leader with high professional ethics and unquestionable integrity who is well-organized and can prioritize and plan.
  • Excellent communicator and listener who is assertive yet personable and collaborative; has a point of view and can interpret and summarize data.
  • A passionate leader who is driven to find opportunities to improve business operations and profitability.
  • Advanced knowledge of information technology including PowerBI and Sequel
  • Supervisory skills and demonstrated ability to work with a diverse organization where group interaction, communication, and human relations are critical.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree and/ or CPA preferred
  • Anaplan experience a plus
