The MPC Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the highest level of product quality and customer satisfaction within the organization. This role is vital for maintaining and improving the quality management system while working across teams and divisions to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Assist with the development, implementation, and support of existing quality control procedures, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with company standards and customer expectations. Perform inspection tests, and audits to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions. Perform hands-on troubleshooting to support production.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain quality documentation. Including procedures, work instructions, and quality records.

  • Customer Focus: Work closely with customer service and the production team to address and record customer issues, investigate quality incidents, and implement preventative measures to avoid recurrence.

  • Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards, processes, and tools. Support the development and implementation of quality-related training to improve the skills and knowledge of the workforce.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for effective documentation and reporting.

  • Minimum of 2 years of inspection and/or manufacturing experience demonstrating a solid understanding of quality control processes.

  • Excellent organizational skills to manage inspection reports and documentation effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information with a strong attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or a similar quality management system.

  • Experience with First Article Inspections (FAIs), Production Part Approval Process (PPAPs), and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQPs).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey quality concerns and information effectively.

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Internal auditing experience is a plus.
