RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for implementing and overseeing Virtual Design and Construction processes throughout phases of a project.

Plan, implement, and oversee VDC processes through appropriate technology platforms

  • May include, Mortenson BIM/VDC uses: existing conditions modeling, site utilization and phase planning, site analysis, 4D creation, design and constructability reviews, 3D visualization, 3D coordination, creation of virtual mockups, creation of fabrication drawings, laser scanning and data processing, 3D control & layout support and record modeling.
  • Provide point of contact for construction team members on VDC processes and reports during all phases of construction
  • Document work process as it relates to improving and/or changing current company process standards

Other duties as assigned

  • Assist in training on VDC processes
  • All integrated construction team members should be active participants in Mortenson's IDAT (Integrated Delivery Advancement Team) community of practice- sharing knowledge
  • Daily work planning

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field
  • Minimum one year of related experience
  • Current driver's license
  • Completion of intermediate level of BIM/VDC software training
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and handle multiple project tasks at a time
  • Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  • Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
  • Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively
  • Strong communication, teamwork orientation, initiative, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Open to change based on diverse input and feedback
  • Demonstrate competency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Synchro 4D, Trimble SketchUp, Bluebeam Revu.
  • Familiarity with the following workflows and solutions is helpful, but not required; game engine technologies (Unity, Unreal, Lumion 3D), Parametric Analysis solutions (Dynamo, Grasshopper, Solibri), basic key frame animation, 2D/3D rendering capabilities, 2D/3D post production capabilities, Revizto
