Responsibilities

PeopleTec is currently seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO II) to support our Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. location.

AS AN ISSO, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL PROVIDE CYBERSECURITY SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE WITH GOVERNMENT SECURITY PROCEDURES AND POLICIES TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE AND QUALITY CONTROL ACROSS MULTIPLE ARCHITECTURES AND GOVERNMENT SYSTEMS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Operate as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for multiple enclaves spanning different classification levels
  • Operate within and guide cyber security team in Risk Management Framework (RMF) strategies across multiple classification domains and update compliance status in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system
  • Perform cybersecurity assessments IAW NIST SP 800-53 utilizing Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system, maintaining Authority To Operate (ATO) for assigned packages
  • Conduct cybersecurity vulnerability scans utilizing Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Security Center to identify and interpret potential vulnerabilities within information systems, effectively communicating findings to diverse stakeholders and administrators
  • Ensure cyber compliance tools (Evaluate STIG, STIG Viewer, ACAS, etc.) are configured IAW applicable CTO's and TTP's from Cyber Security Service Providers (CSSP)
  • Document cybersecurity tactics, techniques and procedures; maintaining document repository
  • Collaborate with network administrators to develop and maintain DISA compliant Ports Protocols Services Management (PPSM) data for all systems assigned.
  • Collaborate with configuration management board (CMB) to develop and maintain authorized hardware/software lists for all systems assigned.
  • Analyze security risks, threats and vulnerabilities from multiple sources and recommend strategies to leadership to prevent security exposures and detect intruders.
  • Perform and document Account Access Authorization for all users integrating artifacts with Army Training & Certification Tracking System (ATCTS)
  • Analyze and define information security requirements for current and future internal and external data connections and Service Level Agreements (SLA), and maintain documentation for those connections in a central repository
  • Provide configuration management (CM) of all relevant program artifacts / acquisition documentation
  • Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) / review board processes for stakeholders, including planning, minutes, and actions

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret with eligibility of SCI clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
  • DISA ACAS 101 Operator and Supervisor Course
  • eMASS Computer Based Training
  • 4-6 years of DoD Cybersecurity experience
  • Excellent spoken and written communications skills
  • Ability to perform multiple projects with dynamic tasking and follow-through from beginning to end on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work as an integrated member of a dynamic and mission focused team to promote a cooperative working environment and a positive team atmosphere.
  • Working knowledge of cyber doctrine and DoD Cybersecurity best practices
  • Working knowledge of network protocols and traffic flow
  • Ability to work in a Microsoft Windows, RHEL and VMWare environment
  • The ability to think analytically and approach issues logically and systematically
  • Travel: 10 %
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Education Requirements:

  • Education: AAS/BA/BS(additional years of experience in lieu of degree)
  • CompTIA Security+ CE or DOD 8570.01-M IAT II certification

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with eMASS, ACAS Security Center, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs) and STIG Viewer
  • Master's Degree in a disciplined engineering study
  • Certifications: CISSP, CASP, CAP, CySA

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. Travel is occasional (1-2 times per year).1
