Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Systems Engineer to support the Cargo Helicopters PO. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Focus on implementing system engineering disciplines into the Cargo TMD (Technical Management Division), through the acquisition lifecycle.
• Work closely with development teams to drive the integration of modern tools and practices into requirements.
• Collaborate across programs and development teams to define common requirements and then architect solutions, to create a common operating environment.
• Evaluate processes, tools, and approved techniques to provide the most advanced capabilities to development teams.
• Be involved with verifying system spec requirements, using Cargo's RCS/VDS process, and working with system spec development/changes.
• Conduct risk management assessments following the Cargo PM risk management process and lead risk management IPTs.

Required Experience:

• BS in Engineering from an accredited college and 10-15 years of experience.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Military Aviation experience preferred.
• Avionics Systems and systems integration experience preferred.
• Defense Acquisition Lifecycle - Milestone C documentation experience preferred.
