Job Description
Summary: Our growing client is seeking an Accountant to join their team. The Accountant will be the right hand person to the CFO and be hands on in closing the books through the consolidation of portfolio companies using QuickBooks. The Accountant will be responsible for guiding and advising portfolio companies with their Finance & Accounting (F&A) processes.


Responsibilities:
  1. Closing the Books and Consolidation:Utilize QuickBooks for hands-on involvement in closing the books.Lead the consolidation process for portfolio companies.
  2. Provide guidance and advice to portfolio companies regarding their Finance & Accounting functions.
  3. Collaborate with teams to enhance F&A processes and procedures.
  4. Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  6. Contribute to financial reporting initiatives to improve operational visibility.
  7. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  8. Manage cash flow processes and optimize liquidity
  9. Implement strategies for efficient cash management.
  10. Participate in investor reporting processes as needed.
  11. Apply GAAP principles and maintain awareness of cash vs. accrual accounting.
  12. Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects.
  13. Demonstrate a self-starter mentality and the ability to drive initiatives forward independently.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting with strong internal control knowledge.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
  • Experience in corporate accounting, preferably within a multi-entity environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
