The role

The Sr. Solution Architect will be responsible for working with the team to create / recommend an overall architecture that will meet the ongoing needs of the client, by designing and overseeing all aspects of the program. Their duties include working with customer and project team members to create the overall solution to accommodate changes in customer and project needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide the technical direction, and ensure the architecture aligns with best practices for scalability, reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
* Lead the Development end to end architecture of the new ITE application
* Develop high-level and low-level architectural documentation, including diagrams, design patterns and technical specifications
* Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to ensure alignment with the proposed architecture* Experience in working on large-scale projects with a focus on quality and timeliness.
* Experience creating and promoting guiding development principles and influencing development teams, business users and management in adoption of technical solutions.
* Experience and knowledge of Azure Cloud, Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Apache Airflow, and Kubernetes
* Experience and knowledge of batch and streaming data pipelines
* Experience and knowledge with various data storage solutions such as relational databases, data lakes, data warehouses, document databases, SQL Databases, etc
* Experience in domain-specific architecture concepts and emerging technologies. (Design patterns, frameworks, mobile and current with application architectures of NodeJS, .Net or Java based solutions)
* Conduct an evaluation of the system architecture to ensure the application will meet the ongoing needs for the customer
* Assist in analyzing the existing applications, including inputs and outputs to ensure best in class design in the future state architecture
* Work with the team to create, maintain and / or enhance procedures, processes and designs to ensure a complete end to end solution
* Ensure the development teams can deliver solutions in alignment with the proposed architecture
* Work closely with the stakeholders and development teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical solutions
* Define security measures and access controls to ensure data protection and compliance
* Lead code reviews, architecture reviews, and technical discussions to drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the development team

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Solution Architect with in-depth knowledge of Java-based systems
* Minimum of 10 yrs in information technology with at least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership
* Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems concepts and Big Data Solutions.
* Proficiency in designing for scalability, availability, and performance optimization.
* Familiarity with Java frameworks and technologies and microservices architecture.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
* Ability to perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $165k-$180k base+ bonus.

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital Services bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
