The Opportunity

The Document Cloud Mobile team is looking for a Software Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the high quality of our Acrobat Reader for PDF application on iOS. This role involves collaborating closely with our QA and engineering teams to deliver exceptional mobile experiences to our global user base. What You'll Do

  • Develop comprehensive manual and automated test cases, encompassing ad-hoc, exploratory, and accessibility testing to uphold stringent quality standards.

  • Take ownership of feature quality by executing tests, assessing risks, and communicating results effectively to certify features with a high-quality bar.

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement or concern and work collaboratively with the engineering team to address them.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and QA teams to advocate for test automation best practices, define new test scripts, and manage automation activities.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong proficiency in iOS mobile testing, including in-app purchases, subscription-based apps, and accessibility testing to ensure inclusive app experiences.

  • Proven experience in developing test strategies, documentation, and automated UI/functional tests.

  • Expertise in Swift (XCUITest Framework), Objective-C, or other relevant programming languages for iOS testing.

  • Experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices using Git/Jenkins.

  • Demonstrated ability to create automated tests for both mobile simulators and physical devices.

  • Exceptional skills in bug detection, regression testing, and defect tracking.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a knack for solving ambiguous problems.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and consistently deliver on commitments.

  • Previous experience leading QA processes for large and complex applications is a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $107,000 -- $210,800 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
