Description

As anAccounts Receivable Specialist,you will be an integral part of our Finance organization and be responsible for recording payments to customers' accounts and maintaining accounts receivable records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, be well organized, and have experience working in an accounting or finance role.
This position is located on-site at our office in Windham, New Hampshire. After 6 months of employment, there is an opportunity to work from home 1-2x a week.
In this role, you will:
  • Collect payment for overdue invoices, assist customers with account and billing questions, and perform moderate volume first-party customer contacts to reconcile accounts.
  • Apply and post client payments to their accounts within the billing system.
  • Account maintenance and billing utilizing 3rd party and customer supplied portals and vendor management platforms.
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies with clients and customers.
  • Prepare daily bank deposits via remote deposit of ACH, wire, and check payments and balance cash posting.
  • New account set-up utilizing credit reporting tools and research skills to adhere to corporate guidelines.
  • Other finance, billing, credit, and collections related tasks as required by the business.
Here's what we look for:
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in credit and collections, billing, customer service, or similar field.
  • Familiarity with current accounting systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central).
  • Knowledge of standard accounting procedures and credit & collect rules and regulations (FCRA, FDCPA, etc.)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency using other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Extremely organized, and detail oriented
  • Strong communication and decision making skills with a customer-centric mentality
  • Bullhorn and/or Salesforce experience is a plus.
