Position Highlights

The Asthma & Airway Disease Research Center invites applications for the position of Clinical Research Coordinator II. The CRC II will perform tasks surrounding clinical trials requiring some autonomy in the performance of clinical research but will defer to the direction of senior CRC's. In addition to system reviews and community-based outreach efforts, the CRC-II is expected to attend adult and pediatric clinics to promote and expand recruitment for research studies. This position will work closely with Principal Investigators as well as other internal and external stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Recruit for multiple clinical trial research studies, screen/interview prospective research participants; obtain informed consent from study participants; collecting, entering, and analyzing subject data; and compiling reports.
  • Complete/prepare approved source documentation, reports, and other materials, maintain appropriate logs, track participants, file study documents, and prepare accurate/complete study materials.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with study subjects (in-person, telephone. text, etc.). Report activities and concerns to supervisor an appropriate PI. Record/document regular progress notes in subject binder. Ensure timely compensation.
  • Coordinate the ordering and pick up of study pharmaceuticals from the investigational pharmacy. Process, prepare, and ship laboratory specimens. Coordinate scans and other medical procedures with Banner adhering to the study protocol.
  • Meet with sponsor/monitors, and work with the A2DRC regulatory team to satisfy HSPP, FDA, and sponsor requirements. Assist with monitor visits for the specific clinical trial assigned to coordinator. Address queries or reportable actions in a timely manner. Participate in/support any audit requests as needed and as approved by supervisor/PI.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of Clinical Trials.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience in Human Subject Research.
  • Experience with both adult and pediatric research patients/subjects.
