As a Sr. Principal Technical Sales Specialist, your expertise will allow you to deliver customer-centered products and solutions by collaborating with cross-functional business partners, including sales, production, procurement, laboratory services, and food safety/quality. Leveraging your technical skills and working alongside sales, you'll directly impact the business to help our livestock, pet, and aqua partners flourish. Along the way, you'll be guided by our deep-rooted culture and have the support and tools you need to do your job, learn, grow, and succeed.

What you'll do:

As a Sr. Principal Technical Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales success by combining technical expertise with strategic planning, client engagement, and leadership skills to deliver tailored solutions that meet clients' needs and drive business growth. Your primary objective is to drive revenue growth by closing deals and expanding the company's customer base.

You'll sweep us off our feet if:

  • You have expertise in sales and negotiation in the Livestock industry.
  • You have prior experience selling and supporting yeast products in the US market.
  • You have a strong network in the Livestock Industry.
  • You have a solid understanding of business principles, including market dynamics, competitive landscape, industry trends, and customer behaviors for developing effective sales strategies and identifying new business opportunities.
  • You build and nurture strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • You are resourceful and adaptable, finding innovative ways to meet customer needs and drive results.
  • You are tenacious, dedicated and thrive working with ownership and autonomy, willing to deliver measurable outcomes and continuously striving to exceed expectations.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Driving revenue growth and building a sustainable customer pipeline.
  • Deep understanding of the customer's needs and ability to tailor technical solutions to address those needs, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborating with FSQR to solve quality issues/customer complaints.
  • Supporting the development of the new product portfolio.
  • Conducting technical training for sales and cross-functional partners.
  • Translating customer/sales feedback into product development opportunities in association with the R&D team.
  • Providing field support for onsite customer projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S., MS, or PhD in an animal/food science field (animal nutrition, food science, chemical engineering, etc.)
  • 6+ years of technical sales experience
  • Strong technical communication skills
  • Proven track record of sales success
  • Up to 50% travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Livestock formulations and nutrition
  • Knowledge of industry sectors (mass brands, specialty brands, co-mans)
  • Ability to translate scientific data into sales documents, marketing tools
  • Ability to lead projects autonomously and assist in commercialization

Compensation and Benefits:

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $116,500 - $163,030. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
